Here’s the list of what my activities included for the rest of my 30 days of 30. I decided that instead of stories, I’d just share some pictures.
Day 10: Beach with Marie
Enjoying the sun with Marie
Day 11: Indian with Joann
Joann and I have known each other almost our whole lives! It was her first time eating Indian food in AGES.
Day 12: AA graduation + party
Normally I don’t drive in rush hour traffic, but I did it for my favorite client.
Day 13: BWI pick up and Treehouse
We thought it would be a treehouse, but really, it was a cabin on stilts.
Day 14: CJB summer jam
Wendy, Dara, and me, during a break in the music!
Day 15: drive up to NJ/peace park
A butterfly that we stumbled onto at the KPC Peace Park.
Day 16: Sculpture Garden/Toby Baptism
Can you find me inside the sculpture of the Luncheon of the Boating Party?

Day 23: NY! Locked out of car
We managed to lock my keys in a backpack in my trunk. AAA saved the day, hours later.
Day 24: NY and drive home!
I drove all through NYC, ON MY OWN. Mad skills for someone who doesn’t like city driving.
Day 25: Lunch with Wendy, dinner with family, drinks with Mathie
MY ACTUAL BIRTHDAY! (This one gets 3 pictures!)
Clams linguine, prepared by my mom and brother!
Amazing fried fish at a local restaurant, with Wendy.
Mathie and I went out for fried ice-cream and drinks. We’ve been friends since we were 12!!
Day 26: Dinner with ladies /Karaoke / LDE
Karaoke night! And, I even got up and sang.
Day 27: Shaman Class
I’ve been apprenticing as a shaman and each month, I meet with my teacher.
Day 28: Sushi with Tracy
Tracy and I had sushi at an amazing buffet place right near my home! All you can eat, $12.
Day 29: Firestarters meeting
Day 30: Colorado flight—Yurt sleepover!
The yurt and the view outside: mountains, open spaces, pitch black at night with stars that freckled the sky.
We stumbled upon this yurt accidentally at a Hot Springs spa in Colorado and were able to stay the night at an AMAZING discount, thanks to Jeremiah, the friendly desk attendant.
My 30 Days of 30 were filled with celebration, both of the extraordinary, and the mundane. It was the perfect kickoff to a new decade: it celebrated and acknowledged the communities to which I belong and the friendships and relationships which sustain and support me. Special thanks to all who helped me celebrate throughout the month; my life is richer because you are in it!
